Bone Basics™ is a multi-nutrient formula designed to support bone health. It features a hydroxyapatite complex (MCHC), a lyophilized extract of bovine bone derived from New Zealand pasture-fed, free-range livestock not subjected to routine antibiotics or rBGH, and is demonstrated to produce smaller calcium spikes than other types of supplemental calcium. Calcium intake, when combined with sufficient vitamin D, a healthy diet, and regular exercise, may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis.

Bone Basics is more than just a calcium supplement for bone health. It is formulated with nutrients that are fundamental for mineral deposition in the bone matrix, for regulating the excretion of minerals and for supporting healthy joints. These include a superior source of calcium, microcrystalline hydroxyapatite complex (MCHC) from New Zealand bovine bone, Vitamins C, D3 & K2, boron, magnesium, manganese, zinc, copper and glucosamine. Together, these ingredients provide one of the best formulas available for promoting bone health and preventing osteoporosis and osteopenia.

Bone Basics is unique because it serves not only to reduce bone loss but to maintain or even increase bone growth. MCHC contains more than calcium: it contains all of the minerals found in bone, is rich in phosphorus, and provides proteins that act as growth factors, stimulating bone growth. The most effective forms of vitamins D & K2 are found in Bone Basics, serving to enhance the body’s absorption and usage of calcium. Vitamin C supports collagen production, which builds the framework for bone. Magnesium makes up a large part of the bone mineral matrix; boron reduces magnesium loss; trace minerals manganese, zinc and copper are co-factors for enzymes involved in bone metabolism. Finally, glucosamine supports cartilage and synovial fluid production in the joints. Post-menopausal women, those with osteopenia, a family history of osteoporosis or who are small-framed would benefit significantly from Bone Basics.
